Logsdon Pond West — Edge Planting Design

Holden Forests & Gardens, East Layer Garden · 2023

Following the Logsdon Pond East design, I created a companion planting plan for the pond's west edge in 2023 — a roughly 2,500 sq. ft. site with far more full sun than its East counterpart. Species selection reflected that shift in light, along with the garden's existing inventoried tree species.

Logsdon Pond West platform diagram — I created a design for this pond edge hardscape, complimenting the adjacent bed's stonework as well as maintaining the aesthetics of the pond and surrounding plantings. This design was created to facilitate educational programming centered around learning and exploring aquatic ecosystems.
